Designers, schools and studios from France, Argentina, Mexico and Spain to take part in Salón nude 2024

Jury of professionals selects total of nine designers, producers and design studios, plus 11 design schools, to take part in next edition of Salón nude 2024, the emerging talent show being staged as part of Hábitat from 30th September to 3rd October.

Valencia, 25th July 2024.- Salón nude has already confirmed who will be participating in the upcoming show, which runs from 30th September to 3rd October within Feria Hábitat Valencia. Over the 20 editions that have taken place so far, the show has established itself as Spain’s foremost hothouse of creativity and design in the field of interiors. A jury of professionals has now selected 20 participants, highlighting the “quality of the designs and the innovation evident in the materials being used – some of which have been transformed from waste into useful resources – as well as people’s ability to produce themselves, deploy new technologies and use artisan techniques”.

The international scope of those selected is remarkable: this time round, participants will include designers and schools from countries including France, Argentina and Mexico, as well as designers from almost the whole of Spain.

Salón nude 2024 – Jury members

This year’s participants in nude were selected by a jury of professionals comprising three eminent figures from the field of design, coordinated by Salón nude founder and curator María Fontes. The members of this year’s jury were:

Pepa Casado

Co-founder of Futurea and trends researcher. At Futurea, Casado works with companies in the interiors industry, helping them make trends a part of design and business strategies. She has worked with leading companies such as Four Seasons, Cosentino, Roca, Rols, Leroy Merlin and Siemens.

She leads research into trends for the trendsCLUB at Ambit and teaches trends on degree courses in interior design at several universities. She heads and coordinates research projects in the field of design such as The New Habitat and Spain Design Index, which recently won an ADI Cultura Plata award, and also headed up the Observatory for Trends in Interiors for 10 years.

Enric Pastor

Multidisciplinary, bold and mould-breaking, Enric Pastor is a journalist who specializes in design and interior design and whose career includes spells at newspapers such as El Mundo and magazines including AD España, where he was editor until 2021. He is currently editor of MANERA Magazine, founded in 2022. Throughout his career, he has been involved with the industry’s main fairs, events and exhibitions. He has also always taught, raising awareness of and analysing new international trends in all creative fields.

His work centres on strategic consultancy applied to design and corporate and professional communication, with a special focus on the trends that affect how we inhabit spaces.

Javier Pastor

Pastor has dedicated a large part of his career to research and teaching in the field of design. He has been involved in numerous projects centred on trends, which have generated publications and articles. He currently also teaches at the Comunitat Valenciana’s main educational institutions and since 2015 has been part of a group researching Interactive and Immersive Media (IIM).

An innovator in product design as well, Pastor has created signature collections of furniture, such as the Nido collection, displayed in the Spanish pavilion at the Milan Expo 2015. At manufacturer Expormim, which won the Premio Nacional de Diseño in 2021, he performed the roles of art director and strategic consultant in design and communication.

In this way, nude is already finalizing the preparations for a twentieth edition in which it will once again count on the collaboration of the firm FINSA, which will provide its Fibracolour Azul and Fimaplast Crema Sil Soft III boards for the construction of both the nude Show stands and the conference area of ​​the nude Agora.
