The exclusive event centred on Spanish and international design has been going for 20 years and is set to take place again from 30th September to 3rd October, within the upcoming edition of Feria Hábitat València.
The Salón is open to emerging international designers, students and design schools. Applicants can register from now until 17th June and participants will be selected by a jury of professionals.
Valencia, 27th March 2024.- Preparations for Salón nude 2024 are under way. Feria Hábitat València has sent out the call for participants in what will be the twentieth edition of Salón nude, the show that offers a platform for young international designers, interiors professionals (manufacturers and distributors) and society in general to come together. This year’s will be the twentieth edition of the show (although it launched in 2002) that has, on its own merits, become not just the main event for the industry in Spain but also a point of reference in European and Latin American design.
In this regard, Nude offers an environment in which to discover trends and explore the innovations that are appearing in the world of interiors through the creative, curious eyes of emerging talent. The show is structured in three parts: the Design Studios zone, featuring emerging designers, the Design Schools zone and Ágora nude, a space given over to talks and round tables focused on design and the culture of design. It takes place this year as part of Feria Hábitat València, from 30th September to 3rd October coinciding, also, with Textilhogar Home Textiles Premium and Espacio Cocina SICI.
Registration now open
Participation is open to emerging international creatives/designers on the one hand and also to final year students, schools of design and universities. It is also open to new manufacturers, producers and galleries submitting designs that are in line with the spirit of the Salón and the terms and conditions that apply.
As to the work itself, acceptable items include all objects, fixtures and fittings that feature in the world of interiors: furniture, lighting, home textiles, kitchens and bathrooms, with a maximum of four designs permitted per submission selected.
Candidates must register by 17th June coming, via the website,
www.nudegeneration.com, using the online registration form and including a detailed description as well as any graphic material that is necessary for the design to be understood. This applies to both the individual item designs and to the design for how the items are to be presented on the stand.
Once the deadline for online registration has closed, a group of design experts will meet in Valencia to select which design studios and products will be featured at
Salón nude 2024. This committee of experts will assess the designs and select those that best reflect the spirit of the Salón.
After the selections have been made the event organisers will publish the definitive list of participants in the event, which over the years has become a veritable hothouse of Spanish design. Last year, Salón nude comprised 18 stands, with participants hailing from the Comunitat Valenciana, Ourense, Barcelona, Madrid, Ibiza, Asturias, Bizkaia, Murcia and even Finland, Mexico and Peru. Over the years the Salón’s stands have featured designers who today are highly acclaimed, such as Héctor Serrano, Alberto Martínez, Miguel Herranz, José Manuel Ferrero, Odosdesign, Culdesac, Stone Design, Javier Herrero, Luis Eslava, Isaac Piñeiro, EnBlanc, La Mamba – Omelette and Dutch designer Marre Moerel
