Entities sign deal to invite industry professionals to upcoming edition of Hábitat, Textilhogar and Espacio Cocina SICI, running from 30th September to 3rd October at Feria Valencia.
Series of lectures aimed specifically at hotel industry professionals to be delivered during the fair with set of installations being designed to show what bedrooms and communal areas will look like in hotels of the future.
València, 24 April 2024.- Professionals from Spain’s powerful hotel industry have a new event to attend this coming September at Feria Valencia, with Feria Hábitat València taking place alongside Textilhogar Home Textiles Premium and Espacio Cocina SICI. The Spanish interiors industry’s main international trade fair has signed a strategic collaboration agreement with the Instituto Tecnológico Hotelero (ITH, Institute for Hotel Technology) that aims to drive innovation in the hotel industry and make the Feria Valencia show the prime meeting place for sector.
The ITH is a member of the Confederación Española de Hoteles y Alojamientos Turísticos (CEHAT, Spanish Confederation of Tourist Hotels and Accommodation), and its aim is to promote the use of new technologies and management systems to improve competitiveness, quality, efficiency and sustainability in the hotel and tourism industry.
The Institute is thus a strategic partner for Hábitat, a fair that, together with Textilhogar and Espacio Cocina SICI comprises a substantial showcase for the contract sector and has set itself the aim, for this upcoming edition, of becoming an instrument for promoting innovation and design in the hotel industry, including modernising and transforming hotel rooms through technology.
Workshops to focus on hotel space design
What does the agreement translate into? Feria Hábitat Valencia and the ITH will together be inviting professionals in the hotel, catering and hospitality sectors, plus interior designers and contract experts, to take part in a series of workshops centred on designing spaces.
The workshops will take place while the fair is running and will highlight the most innovative solutions for the industry, referencing the ‘ITH TechYRoom’ concept – a network of showrooms created by the ITH and the Generalitat Valenciana that promotes technological change and modernisation in hotels in the Comunitat Valenciana and is a model that can be replicated across the industry.
Unique installations to showcase trends in hotels
The fair will also feature a number of designs for hotel bedrooms and communal areas, based on emerging trends in interiors. This series of unique room sets will be created by highly regarded designers and interior designers and will offer contemporary, comfortable spaces based on re-design and environmental sustainability in line with the concept of circular economy.
A unique offering drawing an international audience
From 29th September to 3rd October, Feria Valencia will be hosting the leading fairs for the furniture, lighting, decorating, home textiles and kitchen equipment trades. Feria Hábitat València, Textilhogar Home Textiles Premium y Espacio Cocina SICI constitute the foremost showcase for the home and contract sectors – a large-scale event that draws large numbers of both Spanish and international visitors. The highly successful formula comprises more than 90,000 square metres of exhibition space, with 48,000 professionals visiting from 70 countries.
